Program Overview

The Pharmacy Assistant Training Program is 12 weeks of comprehensive course designed to support everyone in pursuing employment opportunities in the growing pharmacy – healthcare sector. The program includes 12 weeks of skill training and 1 month of optional work placements in the pharmacies. It is offered both online and in person, providing flexibility for participants. 

Our Pharmacy Assistant Program is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to work in a variety of pharmacy settings such as hospital, community and retail. Learn pharmacy fundamentals, the relevant laws, prescriptions, communication skills, math skills, business management and employment strategies. This pharmacy program reflects the current trends and practices in pharmacy assisting in Canada and uses as collaborative, client/customer-focused approach. Current research and best practices provide the foundation for learning. Throughout the program, you will work closely with experienced instructors and pharmacy staff who are experts in the field. This hands-on experience ensures that you gain practical knowledge and relevant skills to excel in your roles as a Pharmacy Assistant.

Completion Details

Program graduates may wish to pursue bridging into a pharmacy technician program.
