Program Overview

Personal Support Workers assist people who need help with daily living because of age, illness, disability, injury, or changing health needs. They provide practical and emotional support while following the client’s care plan and working under the direction of regulated health professionals and other care-team members.

The NACPT Fast Track program combines theory, applied skills, and supervised clinical experience. Students learn to assist with personal care and daily routines, support safe movement and nutrition, observe and report changes, communicate therapeutically, help maintain a safe environment, and provide respectful support during cognitive, mental-health, family, and end-of-life situations.

The accelerated format is designed for learners who want focused preparation for personal-support roles without previous healthcare experience.
