The Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Advanced Diploma is designed for graduates with a Science, Engineering, or Technology background who want to strengthen their technical and industry knowledge.
Students develop applied skills across Quality Assurance, Quality Control, pharmaceutical formulation, biotechnology, laboratory instrumentation, technology transfer, validation, regulatory affairs, and clinical research.

Build familiarity with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, laboratory practices, method development, and analytical validation.

Optional support can include resume development, interview preparation, mock interviews, career planning, and alumni networking.

This postgraduate-level diploma expands the knowledge and skill set of learners with previous Science, Engineering, or Technology education. It connects the laboratory, manufacturing, quality, validation, regulatory, and clinical functions used throughout pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
The curriculum emphasizes experiential learning through technical training, project-based work, guest-speaker sessions, and potential industry exposure. Eligible students may gain access to industrial testing laboratories and Research and Development facilities as part of their learning experience.

From laboratory science to regulated operations
GMP, GCP, GLP, documentation, audits, SOPs, laboratory systems, and pharmaceutical quality practices.
HPLC, gas chromatography, dissolution testing, instrument software, method development, and method validation.
Solid, liquid, and powder formulation plus pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
Process, cleaning, packaging, equipment, system, and collective validation principles alongside technology-transfer practices.
Regulatory frameworks, submissions, professional regulatory practice, scientific writing, and controlled documentation.
Upstream and downstream biotechnology processes, stem-cell production concepts, clinical studies, and research practices.
Develop confidence with industry workflows
Build practical understanding of laboratory testing, analytical instrumentation, formulation, dissolution, chromatography, method development, and validation activities used in pharmaceutical environments.
Learning may include projects, guest speakers, optional industrial exposure or internships, references for completed projects, alumni networking, and an optional Job Development Program.

English as a Second Language International Program – Level 5 may be required for temporary-resident students entering an academic vocational diploma program. The prerequisite is eight weeks and is delivered in person.
