The Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) Training Program is a comprehensive course designed to support individuals in pursuing employment opportunities in the growing Child Care sector. The program includes 12 weeks of skill training and optional work placements in the childcare field. It is offered both online and in person, providing flexibility for participants.

Throughout the program, participants will work closely with experienced instructors and childcare professionals who are experts in the field. This hands-on experience ensures that students gain practical knowledge and relevant skills to excel in their roles as Early Childhood Assistants.

ECAs assist in planning, organizing, and implementing programs for children between the ages of infancy and 12 years. Early Childhood Assistants provide care for infants, preschoolers, and school-age children under the guidance of Early Childhood Educators.

  • A strong interest in working with children in childcare, preschool, and early learning environments.
  • Ability to perform the duties required in professional childcare and educational settings.
  • Compliance with current public health, immunization, and workplace requirements where applicable.
  • For international students, successful completion of the ESL International Program – Level 5 or an approved equivalent prerequisite pathway for admission into an academic vocational diploma program.
