The Cannabis Head of Security Training Program is specifically designed to meet Health Canada’s regulatory requirements for Licensed Producers (LPs). As a mandated role, the Head of Security (HoS) plays a critical part in maintaining secure operations within cannabis facilities.This comprehensive program provides participants with the knowledge and practical tools needed to develop, implement, and manage robust security systems and protocols across all areas of cannabis production and distribution.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Supervise and manage security operations in cannabis facilities in a manner that is effective and compliant with Health Canada requirements.
Guide management and investment decisions on physical security infrastructure and systems procurement, installation, and operation.
Develop and deploy security operating procedures and company security policies relevant to cannabis facilities.
Collaborate with mobile security vendors, including guarding, alarm monitoring, IT, and other services in support of cannabis security operations.
Understand security risks and facility vulnerabilities and take the necessary actions to mitigate them.
