Cannsell Expert Certification

Recreational sales of cannabis in private retail stores across Canada are regulated, licensed, and enforced by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) under the provincial Cannabis License Act, 2018. Cannabis retail store employees are now required to successfully complete CannSell training, an AGCO Board-approved cannabis retail employee training program designed to support the safe sale and consumption of cannabis. This training helps businesses improve customer satisfaction, ensure safe and effective sales and operations, and build a productive, knowledgeable team with expertise in both products and customer service. NACPT Pharma College, in collaboration with CannSell, now offers the CannSell Expert Corporate Training Certification at our campus. This two-day expert program is live, interactive, and instructor-led, with attendees able to choose between online or onsite training. Participants can engage with trainers during the sessions for additional clarification or to address any concerns. The CannSell certification curriculum focuses on safe sales practices of cannabis products through hands-on training. It provides access to the mandated CannSell standard certification as well as extensive cannabis retail training featuring up-to-date science and sales instruction. The program covers current cannabis trends and retail knowledge to help businesses grow and adapt in the industry. It ensures that front-line employees and management stay informed about the latest advancements in cannabis science and how cannabis interacts with the human body. The training uses an interactive learning approach to develop problem-solving skills, customer service abilities, and sales techniques in the retail environment. Customized training is also available to meet the specific needs of different business entities. After successfully completing this course, students will understand the latest cannabis science and its effects on the body. They will learn customer service and sales best practices, including the art of bud-tending. Training includes safe handling procedures, hygiene practices, and store cleanliness and disinfection measures. Students will gain comprehensive knowledge of the cannabis plant and its products, along with effective upselling and cross-selling techniques. The course emphasizes safe and responsible cannabis use, interactive problem-solving, and compliance with safety laws and regulations. This program is mandatory for employees working in cannabis retail stores, including store managers, retail license holders, licensed producers, quality assurance personnel, hiring managers, and store operators.
